Geelong Nannies is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and other applicable privacy laws and regulations. “User”, “Customer”, “Client”, “Family”, “Nanny”, “Team”, You means any user of the Website, App, Platform and/or Services.

This Privacy Policy describes types of Personal Information and Data (as defined below) how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how we maintain the quality and security of your personal information when you:

  • Use our website at geelongnannies.com.au, or website application or booking form, that links to this privacy notice
  • And use our mobile application (Geelong Nannies), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice
  • Engage with us on the phone

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, when you register on the services, expressing interest in obtaining information about us, or our products and services, when you participate in activities on services, or otherwise, when you contact us.

The personal information we collect about you is involuntary and provided to us when you register to use our services, expressed an interest in obtaining information about us, or our products and services, when you participate in activities on the services or otherwise when you contact us.

 Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment, instrument, number, and security code associated with your payment instrument.

 Application Data. If you Use our application, we also make the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

  • Mobile Device Access. We may request access open mission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile devices, camera, photos, and other features. If you wish to change our access submissions made you say in your devices settings.
  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application. If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your devices settings.

 Information is primarily needed to maintain security and operation of our application, for troubleshooting, and for internal analytics and reporting purposes. Or personal information that you provide to us, must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

 How do we collect your personal information? We collect your personal information directly from you when you:

  • Interact with us over the phone, in person or
  • Interact with us online by completing our Nanny Recruitment Application;
  • Interact with us online by completing our Client Booking request form
  • subscribe to our mailing list;

 

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

Process your information to provide, improve, and administer our services, communicate with you, for security and phone prevention, and comply with Moore. May also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for the Bridie reasons, depending on how you interact with our services, including:

  • To facilitate account, creation and authentication and otherwise manages our accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log into your account, as well as keep your accounts in working order.
  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
  • To respond to use inquiries office support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with our service.
  • To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
  • To fulfil and manage your booking requests. We may process your information to fulfil and manage your booking, requests, payments and inquiries made through our website, app or on the phone.
  • To enable user-to-user communications. We may process your information if you choose to use any of our services that allow for communication with another user.
  • To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our services.
  • To send you marketing and promotional communications. We may process the person information send to us from marketing purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You may opt out about marketing emails at any time, by sending an email to enquiries@geelongnannies.com.au and requesting to be removed from our promotional emails.
  • To protect our services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our services, safe and secure, including fraud, monitoring, and prevention.
  • To evaluate and improve our services, products, marketing, and your experience. You may process your information, when we believe it is necessary to identify usage trends, determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and to evaluate and improve our services, products, marketing, and your experience.
  • To identify usage trends. We may process information about how use our services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
  • To determine the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional campaigns. You may process your information to better understand how to provide marketing and promotion promotional campaigns that are most relevant to you.

  • To fulfil user preference and requirements when searching for new Nanny. Personal and family information provided by the user assists to filter a nannie’s experience and qualifications to the users preferences.

 

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

  • Other Users: Geelong Nannies shares restricted but necessary information to our Nanny team so they may to help them decide if they are suitable candidate to offer their services to families.
  • Other Users: Geelong Nannies shares restricted but necessary information to our families so they may choose/decide if that nanny is a suitable candidate for their family.
  • Third Parties: Where reasonable and practical to do so, we will collect your personal information only from you. However, in some circumstances, we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by a third party.

 

4. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION 

Your personal information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances, including the following.

  • Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
  • Where required to by law.

5. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

     Geelong Nannies will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we hold about you is kept confidential and secure, including by:

    • having a robust physical security of our premises and databases / records.
    • taking measures to restrict access to only personnel who need that personal information to effectively provide services to you.
    • having technological measures in place (for example, anti-virus software, fire walls)

     

    6. ONLINE ACTIVITY

    • The Geelong Nannies website does NOT use cookies or website analytics.
    • We may send you direct marketing communications and information about our services, opportunities, or events that we consider may be of interest to you if you have requested or consented to receive such communications. These communications may be sent in various forms, including mail, SMS, and email, in accordance with applicable marketing laws, such as the Australian Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You consent to us sending you those direct marketing communications by any of those methods. If you indicate a preference for a method of communication, we will endeavour to use that method whenever practical to do so.
    • You may opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by following the instructions to “unsubscribe” set out in the relevant communication or contacting us using the details set out in the “How to contact us” section below.

    We will not keep your personal information for longer than we need to. In most cases, this means that we will only retain your personal information for the duration of your relationship with us unless we are required to retain your personal information to comply with applicable laws, for example record-keeping obligations.

    Geelong Nannies will endeavour to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date.

    If you wish to make a request to access and / or correct the personal information we hold about you, please do so by following the procedure outlined below:

    • For updates of information in your Family App Profile, please log in to your account settings and update your account details
    • For all other information updates please contact manager@geelongnannies.com.au to request us to edit your account as required

    For complaints about how Geelong Nannies handles, processes, or manages your personal information, please contact Juliet Martin at manager@geelongnannies.com.au.

    Note we will require proof of your identity and full details of your request before we can process your complaint.
